Claude Code Compatible Backend: CC Moonshot
CC Moonshot uses the installed Claude Code executable with the Kimi coding endpoint and its own credential. It is a separate route from the standard Claude login and from other Claude-compatible backends.
Configure and test
Open CC Moonshot settings and save the Kimi credential. Before choosing Test Backend, open Advanced and check that the base URL matches your credential's region. The preset is the endpoint, https://api.kimi.com/coding/; Kimi lists https://api.kimi.ai/coding/ for overseas use. See Kimi Code's endpoint guidance for the current Anthropic-compatible addresses. Advanced controls can also change the display name and authentication-variable choice.
The Claude executable must be available, but an Anthropic account login is not required for this endpoint route. The credential information control opens the provider's account console. Use the backend test after changing its connection settings.
Backend-managed models
Kimi chooses the model. RepoPrompt supplies neither a --model flag nor a Claude Code effort level for this backend. It can therefore appear as one backend choice rather than an exhaustive list of named models.
Do not add a model ID copied from the Claude or OpenAI catalog to force a choice this route does not expose. See Models for the distinction between a model identifier, an alias, and backend-managed selection.
Account and capability boundary
The Claude integration supplies its session and tool framework; the compatible endpoint determines actual model behavior and support. Changing between Claude routes starts a fresh provider context so the endpoint and authentication are applied cleanly.
Kimi's coding-service account and terms govern access, allowance, billing, and retention. Use the account links in the settings card or the Kimi Code console to inspect the relevant service; an Anthropic subscription does not cover this backend automatically.
