How Do I Report an Issue or Submit a Feature Request?
Search for an existing report first. Add useful reproduction details to a matching issue rather than creating duplicates. Then choose the project responsible for the problem.
Application bugs and feature requests
Use the RepoPrompt CE application issue tracker. Read its contribution policy first: the project automatically closes issues from accounts without issue approval. An automatic closure can reflect that gate rather than a decision on the report's technical merits; maintainers may review and reopen worthwhile submissions. Do not assume that opening a public issue bypasses the gate.
For a bug, include:
- The app version/build, Stable or Tip channel, and macOS version.
- Steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what happened.
- The affected feature and provider/runtime when relevant.
- The exact error and a small example or redacted screenshot that demonstrates it.
For a feature request, describe the user problem, the current workaround, and a concrete example of the desired outcome. Explain why the existing workflow does not address it. A request starts a discussion; it does not establish a release commitment.
Documentation or website problems
Use the documentation issue tracker for incorrect instructions, broken links, confusing explanations, screenshots, and website behavior. Include the page URL, documentation version, and the exact sentence or step. Add browser/device details for a display problem and app-version details for an application instruction.
The documentation repository has its own participation rules; application contributor approval does not automatically describe its process. See How Can I Contribute? if you want to submit a correction.
Security problems and exposed credentials
Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through the affected repository's Security → Report a vulnerability flow, following its security policy. Do not put credentials, private project content, or exploit details in a public issue. If private reporting is unavailable, ask a maintainer to enable a private channel without disclosing the sensitive details publicly.
For a connection problem, first try MCP Troubleshooting. For a paused coding session, see Approvals and Paused Sessions. Community support has no guaranteed response time.
