Cursor CLI

Cursor CLI connects the installed cursor-agent runtime through ACP. RepoPrompt discovers its models and parameters and supplies its MCP integration to the session.

Connect and authenticate

Install the Cursor agent runtime and complete its supported authentication. Open Cursor CLI settings and choose Connect. The runtime can request login or use supported credentials such as CURSOR_API_KEY or CURSOR_AUTH_TOKEN.

Use Test Connection to recheck access and Refresh Models to request the current catalog. Sign Out disconnects Cursor in RepoPrompt and clears cached model availability.

Models and capabilities

Select from the model, effort, and speed parameters returned by the connected runtime. Cursor's Auto option delegates model selection to Cursor; it is distinct from automatic routing in RepoPrompt's Agent Decisions. See Models for shared selection concepts.

Model, effort, and speed controls are locked while an active Cursor run is using them. Its ACP approval controls are documented in CLI Providers settings. Available capabilities depend on the runtime and selected model; a connection does not establish unrestricted access to every tool.

Account and usage

Cursor authentication and its account terms determine access and allowance. Connecting this runtime does not configure the same model through a separate API provider or transfer Cursor account entitlement to that API. Check the account and selected runtime route when assessing usage.
