Gemini API

Gemini API connects supported RepoPrompt features directly to Google's model API. It uses the Gemini entry in API Providers and is separate from the Google Antigravity coding-agent runtime and its ACP authentication.

Connect and select a model

Configure and validate the key in API Providers → Gemini. Use the custom-model field where provided to save a compatible model identifier. The settings reference describes the field and its save control.

Google's Gemini API model catalog is the reference for current IDs, capabilities, and lifecycle status. Stable, preview, and retired selections can differ, and availability depends on the account and integration. Do not assume a similarly named model in another Google product is exposed through this API route.

Models explains identifier and capability selection. A per-model setting cannot grant access to a missing model or add unsupported image, streaming, or reasoning behavior.

Account and billing

The API credential and Google's applicable account terms determine usage limits and charges. A separate Google subscription or Antigravity login does not automatically configure or pay for these API requests. Check the API account's current terms and usage rather than relying on a fixed free-tier claim in documentation.
